As our boaters are getting ready for the Bark Shanty Sail Club Cruise to Bayfield on June 20-22nd we’re reminded to double check our safety kits and get our vessels inspected.
From state numbering to life jackets to first aid kits the U.S. Coast Guard offers a all encompassing Boaters Guide for federal requirements. Check it out here for some great checklists and safety tips.
Free Vessel Safety Check’s that are being given by the VSC Examiners from the Port Huron Sail & Power Squadron and the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary here at the Port Sanilac Marina and along the coast.
July 5th from 12 Noon – 4:00 PM come out and join us at the marina for a free inspection in or out of the water. Other local sites include the Port Huron Yacht Club, Lexington State Marina, Black River Boat Club, Bridge Harbour Marina, St. Clair Boat Harbor and the Desmond Marine.
