The Port Sanilac Harbor is Being Dredged!

The US Army Corps of Engineers has begun dredging the Port Sanilac Harbor as part of an ongoing navigational maintenance project. The dredging is being conducted using Section 111 beach nourishment funds and dredged material will be placed on the nearby beach. Upon completion, the harbor’s entrance depth will be 12 feet.

The Port Sanilac Harbor require maintenance dredging every 3 to 5 years. The harbor was last dredged in 2019.
