Exterior Design

The Oceanis 51.1 was designed with three specific criteria in mind.  It needed to be fast, comfortable, and smart, and that is what Beneteau has achieved with this model.  The hull is an innovative design with the integrated stepped hull chine increasing the interior space while keeping the hull performance.

On deck the layout has been carefully crafted to create a flow that is perfect for short-handed crew.  There is one self-tailing winch at each helm station and all of the lines are led back to the helm stations.  The 2 stand up main sheet blocks on the coach roof allowed Beneteau to remove the arch for sleeker shape.  Self-tacking jib hardware is standard making maneuvers simple and easy.  The polyester bowsprit with integrated anchoring gear an bobstay is also included with certain trim levels.  This increases performance and makes anchoring a stress-free, convenient process.

Heading back to the cockpit the large cockpit table is standard.  There is also a fully opening transom that is electrically lowered to large swim platform ideal for sunbathing and water sports.

A sprayhood and bimini are also offered as comfort options giving shade and making the cockpit comfortable in all weather conditions.  The entire exterior of the Oceanis 51.1 has been well thought-out for optimal performance and enjoyment.
